Sometimes seeking help with therapy can be scary and confusing. Although the results can be exciting, the process can be challenging. Here are a few common questions about therapy.


How long does therapy take to fix my issue?

The length of therapy is contingent upon what issues you need to deal with. At M.E. Matters, we believe in client centered therapy that puts the client at the center of the process. For some clients, short term therapy accomplishes the goal while for others longer term therapy meets their needs.


How do I know the therapist is the right fit for me?

At your first meeting you should interview your therapist to ensure you feel it is a good fit. If at anytime, you feel therapy is not working, holding that crucial conversation with your therapist is useful and good therapists will work with you to get  the right therapist for you.


What happens if I have an emergency?

M.E. Matters is not a critical care facility. If at anytime you have feelings of hurting yourself or others, or feel like you need medical attention for an emotional issues you are managing, immediately call 911 or go to your local hospital.


How much does therapy cost?
